Bay Pines’ Activities and Clubs exist to bring glory to God by giving students an optional opportunity to explore and use their God given talents. Clubs are held at the end of the school day during study hall. Activities, such as field trips, Christmas services, school plays, and music are open to all students throughout the year.
Clubs are a privilege open to all 5-8 grade students in good standing. Chess club is also open to students in grades 3-4 in good standing.
Our current club offerings include Foreign Language Club / Music Club / Student Council / Chess Club / Technology Club. We are looking into having a stem/robotics club in the future.
Students meet once a week to learn a sampling of conversational Spanish, French, and Italian in order to develop language skills and enhance interest in high school foreign language requirements.
Students have the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of musical tools and practices, and will be able to perform at church services in the junior choir.
The Bay Pines Student Council serves as the voice of the student population at Bay Pines, and features opportunities for members to shape the future of their fellow students and the school. Once a year, participants elect officers, and weekly meetings are run using Robert’s Rules of Order.
Chess teaches students vital strategy and sequencing skills, along with healthy competition and executive decision making. In chess club, students from the 3rd – 8th grades meet weekly to play chess with each other. Students also participate in chess tournaments across Florida and online.
Students meet to learn vital information technology and audiovisual skills and techniques, along with STEM projects.
At Bay Pines Lutheran School, students have meaningful opportunities to grow through the performing arts. Throughout the year, children participate in school performances that build confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Highlights include our beloved Christmas Children’s Service, where students joyfully share the message of Christ’s birth through music and speaking parts, and our end-of-year school play, which showcases student talent and growth.
Through music, drama, and performance, students develop self-expression, public speaking skills, and an appreciation for the arts—all within a supportive, Christ-centered community.
